SPAN of Montgomery County

SPAN assists students in setting attainable goals, both academically and behaviorally. These goals are customized to address the needs of each student. Academic goals are to obtain a GED. Students work at their own pace on individualized classroom assignments and receive one-on-one instruction from education staff. In addition, each student has an assigned counselor who conducts individual and family counseling as needed. The daily schedule also includes a one-hour group counseling session to provide students with a forum to develop the social and behavioral skills required for effective independent living.
