Pediatric Associates of Alexander City

Pediatric Associates of Alexander City was founded in July of 1985. The mission has always been defined, "PAAC will be the highest qualified provider of medical care, achieved with humility, empathy, and uncompromising ethical standards." In 1985, the community was thriving with Russell Corporation forming a strong economic foundation. The Kellyton office opened in the early 1990’s. As time has progressed, there has been change in the practice which reflects some of the major changes in our community. The commitment to Quality has not changed. Two Board Certified “Master” Pediatricians now collaborate with four Nurse Practitioners to provide care for the children representing five counties. The office has a strong working relationship with The Children’s Hospital, UAB Department of Pediatrics and Auburn University School of Nursing. Educational opportunities for students from Samford, UAB, Auburn, Troy and Jacksonville assures that manpower for the years ahead can have a foundation in the management of General Pediatric Patients in the years ahead. Community partnerships focused on early childhood literacy has started and sustained a Summer Reading program free to all children with hopes of improving the retention of knowledge during the summer break. Close collaborative relationships with the School Nurses in Alexander City and Coosa and Tallapoosa Counties tries to assist the improvement of the health and safety of children as they attend to their educational training. The attaining and maintaining of a Patient Centered Medical Home certification is a commitment to a very high National recognized standard in terms of standardized population health evidence based guidelines. This is one of the few rural practices to have maintained this designation for ten consecutive years. There are many committed hard working people that give themselves daily to the task of caring for the children of this area. We welcome you to our practice.
