Pathways Early Learning Center

Pathways Early Learning Center is a free, licensed childcare facility exclusively for families experiencing homelessness. It is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am-5:30 pm and is located in the Pathways building in downtown Birmingham. The ELC is available not only to the women and children staying in Pathways’ emergency shelter program, but also to families staying in any homeless shelter in the Birmingham area, families sleeping outside, and families staying in any place not meant for human habitation, such as an abandoned building or car. Parents with children aged 8 weeks to 5 years who meet these qualifications can simply call or visit Pathways to begin the enrollment process.
