Nurse Family Partnership of Central Alabama

Nurse-Family Partnership works by having specially trained nurses regularly visit expectant moms, starting early in the pregnancy and continuing after the baby is born. Our goals are to improve pregnancy outcomes by helping women engage in good preventive health practices, improve child health and development by helping parents provide responsible and competent care, and improve the economic self-sufficiency of the family by helping parents develop a vision for their own future, plan future pregnancies, continue their education and find work. Nurse-Family Partnership is a national, evidence-based program currently serving 42 states.
