MACH (Mid-Alabama Coalition for the Homeless)

The Mid-Alabama Coalition for the Homeless operates programs that support its mission. Programs are designed to assist homeless shelters and service providers and to provide direct service to those experiencing homelessness. MACH pursues activities that fill gaps in services in our area, such as Street Outreach and Housing Assistance. MACH also incorporates best practices developed by HUD and other organizations into its programming. One of MACH’s goals is to avoid duplication of services among the shelters and service providers in its community. MACH’s programming enhances but does not duplicate the good work performed by member shelters. MACH encourages any organization working toward a goal of ending homelessness in the River Region to participate in its membership and data collection and to refer clients to its Street Outreach and Housing Assistance programs.
