Healthy Kids

Healthy Kids is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, formed in 1997, dedicated to the care and well-being of Alabama’s children. We aim to make a difference in the lives of Alabama’s Children by strengthening families.

At Healthy Kids we have:
- First Steps: Child care and learning center
- First Class Pre-K Program for children 4-5: Alabama's Pre-K program to prepare children for Kindergarten
- Home Visitation/First Teacher program using the Parents as Teachers model: Evidence based model that provides home-visiting, resources, guidance for early care and education, and builds family engagement.
- Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP): Information and claiming support for the USDA food program for eligible family daycare providers
