Children's of Alabama Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC)

The Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) is a confidential phone response center linking adult callers to mental health resources for children and teens. Licensed mental health professionals provide support, education and recommend the most appropriate treatment options to callers. The PIRC does not schedule appointments or place children in residential facilities, but does provide behavioral health information. The PIRC is opened from 8 am until 11:30 pm every day.
