Birmingham Talks

Birmingham Talks is a free, 8-week early learning program for families who live or work in Jefferson County and have children ages 0–4. The program supports families by providing them with the tools, confidence, and support they need to strengthen their child’s language environment because even small moments of talk can lead to big outcomes in literacy, learning, and lifelong success. Families attend weekly workshops offered both in-person and virtually, where they learn simple ways to increase talking during daily routines. In-person sessions include dinner and on-site childcare. Families also receive books, toys, and personalized reports with coaching support.
